His wound has been healed by the tribes old Medicine Man and is given the gift by the Great Spirit to heal and read spirits. He is given the assistance of a Spirit Guide in the form of a mean old spotted dog. He is put in charge of Fort Kearneys 5th Calvary scouts and has won the admiration of the Forts commander. He is involved in many skirmishes and has befriended many Indian Chiefs of the Plains. He is seduced and falls in love with a beautiful and strong willed woman who has seen his powers at work. He is given eternal life through the Great Spirit as part of his reward in advocating for the Native American tribes of America. He has seen the Great Spirit behind the sun and then becomes a Holy Man both in body and soul. He goes to be with his long departed Wife and Son only when the world begins to die.
